A note from Brookings County Highway Superintendent, Brian Gustad, concerning the closure of County Road 20:
Looking ahead to the closure of Brookings County 20 (220th St), from County Road 19 (469th Ave) to County Road 77 (471st Ave), while approach grading and asphalt takes place, this is what the timeline is currently:
• Pre-stressed girders were placed 09-14-2020 and 09-15-2020• Bent #2 cap will be pour 09-17-2020• Final pre-stressed girders anticipated placement 09-21-2020 and 09-22-2020• Continuous concrete deck pour anticipated 09-28-2020• Closure of Brookings County 20 while grading and asphalt anticipated 10-05-2020 thru 10-16-2020.
This is the anticipated time line to date, of course weather delays will push back those dates but the forecast looks to be favorable. At this point since work being performed is outside of the main river channel we don’t see these dates moving significantly.
