Human Resources is part of the Commission Department and assists employees and applicants with all aspects of employment with Brookings County.

Responsibilities


The Human Resources Department is responsible for the following:
  • Administering all pre and post-employment activities
  • Assisting current and new employees with benefit enrollment
  • Coordinating labor relations activities (negotiations, grievances, etc.) for the County’s two unions
  • Developing and implements County policies and procedures
  • Overseeing the County’s compensation and performance management policies and procedures
  • Providing personnel support services for all county employees
  • Serving as the contact for County employment opportunities
  • Serving as the point of contact for workers compensation
